Koos van Koppen settled in Seenbergen many years ago. In 1982 he started participating in pigeon races.
The line of his pigeons is not a well-defined one, because even today he introduces new pigeons in his loft, pigeons that he thinks will bring him a plus in racing.
Choose for breeding only good pigeons from which he wants to have chicks, he does not think to match the names or lines of pigeons.
He breeds pigeons in which he trusts and dedicates his time to their mating. The first big acquisition was when he bought all the young pigeons from the Heus breeder in Vianen,
he knew he was a top breeder and wanted chickens from him. He started with pigeons from Piet van de Merwe (Dordrecht), Geert van Turnhout and Willem de Bruyn.
Koos does not agree with the over-administration of drugs to pigeons. Do not choose to prevent and only treat where appropriate. Instead, give a lot of time to a strict schedule

Koos is one of the few breeders who can say that he has never had a bad season. After 39 years of competing even today, every season he is in the lead
